Notice to All Students of Distance Learning Institute (DLI) for the 2024/2025 Residential Programme

The Distance Learning Institute (DLI) wishes to inform all students about the schedule and requirements for the upcoming 2024/2025 Residential Programme. Below are the key dates, guidelines, and examination instructions every student must follow.

🗓️ DLI 2024/2025 Residential Programme Dates

Arrival of DLI Students

• Programme Duration: Sunday, September 7, 2025 – Saturday, October 18, 2025

• Course Registration Deadlines:

  • Year 3 – 5 Students: Friday, September 5, 2025

  • Year 1 & 2 Students: Friday, September 26, 2025

➡️ Once registration is completed, the Hostel Application Button will be enabled for hostel bed space allocation.

Required Documents for Hostel Check-in

Upon resumption, students must report to their assigned halls of residence with:

1. Receipt of full service charge payment for the current session.

2. Two (2) copies of the accommodation slip.

3. Evidence of registration with the University Medical Centre.

📌 Schedule of Arrival for the Residential Programme

For Year 3 – 5 Students

• Sunday, Sept 7, 2025: Move into halls of residence.

• Sept 9 – 13, 2025: One-week lecture mop-up.

• Saturday, Sept 13, 2025: GST examinations (including carryover courses).

• Monday, Sept 15, 2025: Examinations commence.

• Saturday, Sept 27, 2025: Examinations end & students vacate halls.

For Year 1 & 2 Students

• Sunday, Sept 28, 2025: Move into halls of residence.

• Sept 29 – Oct 4, 2025: One-week lecture mop-up.

• Oct 3 – 4, 2025: GST examinations (including carryover GST courses for Year 2).

• Monday, Oct 6, 2025: Examinations commence.

• Saturday, Oct 18, 2025: Examinations end & students vacate halls.

📝 Examination Requirements for DLI Students

• Fee Payment Deadlines:

  • Year 3 – 5: Monday, Sept 1, 2025

  • Year 1 & 2: Monday, Sept 22, 2025

• Course Registration Deadlines:

  • Year 3 – 5: Friday, Sept 5, 2025

  • Year 1 & 2: Friday, Sept 26, 2025

• Add & Delete Registration Closing Dates:

  • Year 3 – 5: Wednesday, Sept 10, 2025

  • Year 1 & 2: Tuesday, Sept 30, 2025

⚠️ No further extensions will be granted after the closing dates.

• Examination Requirements:

  • One recent passport photograph per registered course.

  • Examination dockets printing dates:

    • Year 3 – 5: Sept 8 – 12, 2025

    • Year 1 & 2: Sept 29 – Oct 2, 2025

  • Defense of Research Project (Final Year Students):

    • Saturday, June 28 – July 26, 2025

📌 Note: Only fully registered students will be allowed to write examinations.

🙏 Special Plea to Employers

The DLI Management appeals to employers of labour to kindly release employees who are DLI students. This will enable them to fully participate in the 2024/2025 Residential Programme and Sessional Examinations.
